Locations: Casa del Mar, Oranjestad, Tanki Flip, and The Cove

Looking for a great cup of coffee in Aruba? Or avocado toast? Or fresh pastries? Santos Coffee with Soul is the perfect spot.

Santos Coffee is my absolute favorite coffee (and breakfast) spot in Aruba. There are four Santos locations on the island: Casa del Mar, Oranjestad, Tanki Flip, and The Cove. The location at Casa del Mar was the first one, and is located on the corner of the parking lot at Casa del Mar. The Tanki Flip location is a drive through. The Oranjestad location (Zoutmanstraat 7) is very close to the Renaissance Hotel, Mall, and Marketplace in downtown Oranjestad. This location is perfect for cruise visitors, Renaissance guests, and people visiting the downtown area. The Cove location is the newest one on the island, located near the Palm Beach strip and high rise hotels. It is great to see Santos expanding.

When I’m on vacation, I regularly visit the Santos location at Casa del Mar. The location has both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor area is nicely air-conditioned and has a variety of seating options: a large table, some small bistro tables, and an arrangement of comfy chairs. The outdoor area is nicely shaded and has more tables. This Santos location also has two beautiful murals on the sides of the building done by local artists.

The staff is super friendly and the food and drinks are great. They drop cold water off to the table when you arrive, reminding me of cafes that I’ve visited in Australia. They are known first and foremost for their coffee, but their food is also amazing. My favorite drinks to get are the espresso-based beverages. Even on a hot morning, I loved drinking a hot vanilla latte. They use Monin syrups for their drinks. Their iced coffee and espresso drinks are also fantastic. An iced latte tastes so refreshing on a hot Aruba morning. For breakfast food, they have a variety of options ranging from bagels and croissants to breakfast sandwiches to avocado toast and yogurt. All of their food is super fresh, so they tend to run out of popular items like avocados early in the day. They also have a lunch menu with sandwiches and soups that are super good.

Another thing that I love is that they serve their drinks in glassware when you are dining there. They have small mason jars for water, larger mason jars for iced drinks, and ceramic mugs for the hot coffees. There is nothing better than drinking a coffee out of a real mug. In addition, they do a lot of to-go orders at the Casa del Mar location. It is nice to have that option as well. The mornings can get very busy, so be prepared for a small wait if you arrive mid-morning.

Even on a warm Aruba morning I loved drinking the hot latte at Santos.

The Casa del Mar location also hosts some fun events. They host a local artisan market on Tuesday nights. They serve alcohol in addition to their coffee offerings, so at night this is a great place to stop for a drink. They also have the occasional paint night or brunch special.

I am so happy to have such a great place to grab a fantastic latte on the island.
